Popup Blocker
- SlimBrowser includes a built-in popup blocker which automatically blocks
unwanted popup ads. The popup blocker combines automatic detection and
predefined filtering.
- To configure the options of the popup blocker, select
"Tools:Options" from the menu and go to the page
of "Popup Blocker" in the options dialog.
- You can easily turn on and off popup blocker by toggling the button
"Block Popup" on the standard toolbar.
- When a popup window is blocked by SlimBrowser, you will see the
"Block Popup" button blinking between red and green as a visual
indication. You may hear an optional sound as an audio indication at the
same time if you have configured this way.
- If you think a desirable popup was blocked, click the "Recover Popup" button on the standard toolbar to re-open the
last blocked Popup. Or, you can click the drop-down arrow on the right side
of the button to show the list of the last 10 blocked popups and select the
desired one to restore. When a blocked URL is re-opened , it may not show exactly the same
content as the one that was originally blocked. If necessary, you can turn
off the popup blocker entirely and re-open the original site which created
the popup.
- To prevent the same desirable popup to be blocked again and again, right
click on the site tab of the desirable popup and click "Add into white
list" to add the URL of the popup window into the white list of the site
filter.
